Chaparhar

Chaparhar is a district in north-central Nangarhār Province, located northeast of Jalalabad. It is a predominantly Pashtun agricultural district in the Kabul River valley.

Summers are hot, winters are mild. The best time to visit is spring or autumn.

From Jalalabad, drive northeast on the road toward the Kunar Valley. Travel time is about 30–40 minutes.

The district centre is small and walkable.
