Chirundu

Chirundu is a border town on the Zambezi River in northern Mashonaland West, the main road crossing point between Zimbabwe and Zambia on the Harare–Lusaka route. The town is dominated by the border post, with the Chirundu Bridge (and a newer bridge) carrying traffic across the Zambezi. It is a transit hub for trucks and travellers moving between the two countries.

Chirundu is 300 km north-west of Harare on the A1 (4 hours). The road is tarred. Minibus kombis from Harare reach Chirundu.

The town is walkable.
