Utmah is a district and small town in Dhamar Governorate, Yemen, located in the southern highlands. It is a rural area with scattered villages and agricultural terraces, producing sorghum, coffee, and fruit. The district is known for its scenic mountain landscapes and cooler temperatures due to high elevation. Utmah has basic administrative services and a small market. The security situation is fragile. The best time to visit is October to April.

By Plane

Aden International Airport (ADE) is the nearest major airport, about 170 km south. Road transport is required.

By Train

No railway in Yemen.

By Car / Road

Utmah is accessible from Dhamar (50 km southwest, 1.5 hours) and from Ibb (60 km east, 1.5 hours). Shared taxis from Dhamar serve the route. A 4WD is recommended.

The town is walkable. Private transport is needed for the wider district.
