About Ben Cau

Ben Cau (Bến Cầu) is a ward in southern Tay Ninh Province, located near the Cambodian border. Formerly a district, it was reorganised as a ward following the 2025 Vietnamese administrative reforms. The name Ben Cau means "pier bridge" in Vietnamese, referring to its historical role as a river crossing point. The area is predominantly agricultural, with rice paddies, rubber plantations, and sugarcane fields covering much of the landscape. Ben Cau lies on the southern approach to the Moc Bai International Border Gate, one of the busiest land border crossings between Vietnam and Cambodia. The Vam Co Dong River flows through the area, supporting irrigation and local fishing.
