About Binh Gia

Binh Gia is a mountainous district in southern Lạng Sơn Province, bordering Bắc Giang Province to the southwest. The district is characterised by rolling forested hills, river valleys, and a population that includes Tày, Nùng, and Kinh communities living primarily from agriculture and forestry.

The district seat is the town of Bình Gia, situated on the Thương River. The area has some historical significance as a site of battles during the First Indochina War between the Việt Minh and French colonial forces. Today it is a quiet rural district with little tourist infrastructure — visitors come for the scenery and the opportunity to experience everyday life in Vietnam's northeastern highlands.

The climate is humid subtropical, with a distinct cool season (October–April) and a rainy summer monsoon (May–September).
