Don Duong

Lâm Đồng, Viet Nam

Why visit Don Duong?

Đơn Dương is a district in south-central Lâm Đồng province, situated along National Highway 20 between Da Lat and Di Linh. The name originates from a Mạ word, "Daàm-krông," meaning "big waterfalls." The district covers 612 km² with a population of about 178,000 (as of 2018), and the capital lies at Thạnh Mỹ town.

The district has a mild highland climate due to its elevation of around 900–1,000 m. The landscape features pine forests, agricultural land, and the scenic Châu Sơn – Đơn Dương pine forest area. Agriculture — coffee, tea, vegetables, and flowers — forms the economic base. The dry season from November to April is the best time to visit.
