About Dak Doa
Dak Doa is a district in central Gia Lai province, about 20 km north of Pleiku along National Route 14. The district is a major producer of rubber, coffee, and pepper, with vast plantations covering its rolling hills. Dak Doa is also known for its proximity to Biển Hồ (Sea Lake), a large volcanic crater lake that is the most recognisable natural landmark in the region. The district has a mix of Kinh, Jarai, and Bahnar communities, and the surrounding villages retain traditional Central Highlands culture.
The climate is mild and monsoon-driven, with wet summers and dry winters.
