About Hoa Binh
Hòa Bình is a rural district of Bạc Liêu Province, located in the eastern part of the province approximately 15 km north of Bạc Liêu city. The district capital is the township of Hòa Bình. The area is dominated by rice paddies, fruit orchards, and shrimp aquaculture ponds — a classic Mekong Delta agricultural landscape. The name Hòa Bình means "peace" in Vietnamese. The district's economy relies primarily on rice cultivation and freshwater aquaculture. The population includes Kinh Vietnamese and Khmer Krom communities, reflected in the local pagodas and festivals. The climate is tropical with a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October.
