Bắc Giang, Viet Nam

Why visit Luc Nam?

Lục Nam is a rural district of former Bắc Giang province (now part of Bắc Ninh province), situated in the southeastern part of the province along the Lục Nam River. The district covers 597 km², making it one of the larger districts by area, with a population of around 203,000. The district is named after the Lục Nam River, which flows through the district and gives the region its character. The terrain transitions from lowland river valleys in the south to midland hills in the north.

Historically, the area was part of the short-lived Lục Nam province (1889–1891) under French colonial administration. Today, the district is primarily agricultural, with rice cultivation, forestry, and fruit production as the main economic activities. The district capital is the town of Đồi Ngô.
