Lang Giang
Bắc Giang, Viet Nam
Why visit Lang Giang?
Lạng Giang is a rural district of former Bắc Giang province (now part of Bắc Ninh province), located in the central part of the province along the Thương River. The district covers 246 km² and has a population of approximately 191,000. Lạng Giang is a key transportation hub due to the town of Kép, which hosts an important railway junction on the Hanoi–Đồng Đăng line as well as a major military airbase. The district is predominantly agricultural, with rice paddies, fruit orchards, and vegetable farms dominating the landscape.
The district has a tropical monsoon climate with hot, rainy summers and cool, dry winters. The terrain transitions from lowland river plains in the south to midland hills in the north. The district capital is the town of Kép, which has grown around the railway station.

Regular buses operate between Hanoi and Lạng Giang, with services from Gia Lâm bus station. Buses from Bắc Giang city are frequent and cheap, taking about 30 minutes.
Local buses connect Kép town with surrounding communes and with Bắc Giang city. Xe ôm (motorbike taxis) are available in Kép and at the railway station.
