Why visit Boulder?

Boulder is a progressive college town of about 106,000 in the Front Range region of Colorado. Home to the University of Colorado, the city has a reputation for progressive values, outdoor recreation, and a vibrant cultural scene. Located at the foot of the Flatirons at the eastern edge of the Front Range foothills, 24 miles northwest of Denver, Boulder consistently ranks among the best places to live in the United States.

Boulder enjoys a semi-arid climate with abundant sunshine — about 300 days per year. Summers are warm with highs in the 80s°F, while winters are mild by mountain town standards with highs in the 40s-50s°F and occasional snow. Spring can be windy, and fall offers spectacular foliage as the aspen and cottonwood trees turn gold. The city's elevation of about 5,430 feet means visitors should acclimatize if coming from sea level. The Flatirons, dramatic sandstone formations rising above the city, define Boulder's skyline and offer world-class climbing and hiking.
