The eastern part of Mesa transitions into the Superstition Mountains, offering dramatic desert scenery and hiking opportunities.

The ideal visiting season is October through April, when temperatures are comfortable for outdoor activities. Mesa receives minimal rainfall, mostly during summer monsoon season.
