Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Why visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park?
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most remarkable wildlife destinations on Earth. Located in south-western Uganda, the park protects 331 km² of ancient montane and lowland rainforest, remarkably biodiverse and estimated to be over 25,000 years old. Bwindi is best known as the primary home of the endangered mountain gorilla — approximately half of the world's remaining population lives within its forests.
The park is divided into four gorilla trekking sectors: Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo, each offering distinct landscapes and trekking experiences. Beyond gorillas, Bwindi is home to 120 mammal species, 350 bird species, and over 200 butterfly species.
