Pulumur

Pülümür is a district town in Tunceli Province, eastern Turkey, located about 60 km north of Tunceli city in the Pülümür River valley. With a population of around 3,000, it is a small settlement surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. The Pülümür Valley is known for its striking rock formations and traditional stone bridges.

The climate is mountain-continental with cold winters and cool summers. The best time to visit is June to September.

By Car / Road

Pülümür is on the D885 highway between Tunceli (1.5 hr) and Erzincan (1.5 hr). Limited minibus service.

The town is walkable. The valley extends for many kilometres with hiking possibilities.
