About Korkut
Korkut is a small town and district centre in Muş Province, eastern Turkey, located about 40 km northeast of Muş city. It sits in a valley surrounded by rolling hills and is primarily an agricultural settlement. The local economy depends on livestock farming, wheat, and fodder crops. The population is around 5,000.
The climate is typical of eastern Turkey: bitterly cold and snowy winters, mild summers. Spring (May–June) is the most scenic time when the hills are green. The town is very small with basic infrastructure.

By Plane
Muş Airport (MSR) is the closest airport, about 60 km southwest (1 hr drive). A taxi or private car is needed to reach Korkut.
By Train
No railway access. The nearest station is in Muş city.
By Car / Road
Korkut is connected by local roads to Muş (40 km, 45 min) and to Bulanik (25 km north). Minibus services operate from Muş several times daily.
The town is easily walkable. For trips to surrounding villages, a private vehicle or taxi is required.
