About Yesilli

Yeşilli is a district town in Mardin Province, southeastern Turkey, about 10 km south of Mardin city on the road to Kızıltepe. With a population of around 8,000, it is a small agricultural settlement on the Mesopotamian plain. The town is surrounded by olive groves and wheat fields.

The climate is semi-arid with very hot, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit. The town is quiet with basic services.

How to reach

By Plane

Mardin Airport (MQM, 10 km south) with flights from Istanbul.

By Train

No railway. The nearest station is in Kızıltepe.

By Car / Road

Yeşilli is on the D380 highway between Mardin (10 min) and Kızıltepe (30 min). Frequent minibuses pass through.

The town is easily walkable.
