Aksu

Isparta, Turkey

Why visit Aksu?

Aksu is a district town in southern Isparta Province, in the Taurus Mountains, best known for the ancient Pisidian ruins scattered around it — including the ancient cities of Timbriada and Tynada — and for a Roman-era bridge and the kilometer-long Zından Cave about 1 km north of town. The district sits within reach of Kovada Lake National Park (administratively centered in neighboring Eğirdir and Sütçüler districts), a forested lake reserve popular with hikers and birdwatchers.
