Senkaya

Senkaya is a small district town in northeastern Erzurum Province, located in a mountainous area near the borders of Artvin and Ardahan. Surrounded by forested peaks and highland meadows, it is one of the more remote settlements in the province. The area is known for its unspoiled natural beauty, traditional yayla (summer pasture) culture, and clear mountain streams. The small population is engaged in livestock farming and forestry.

Senkaya is reached via winding mountain roads from Oltu (40 km south) or from Artvin. Dolmuşes connect from Oltu and Erzurum.
