Agin

Agin is a small district town in northern Elazığ Province, located in a mountainous area north of the Euphrates River. It is a quiet rural settlement with traditional stone houses and a peaceful atmosphere. Historically, Agin (also known as Eğin) had a notable Armenian population before the events of the early 20th century, and remnants of this heritage can be seen in the old cemetery and building foundations. The town today is a sleepy Anatolian village where agriculture and small-scale livestock farming dominate.

The climate is continental with snowy winters and warm summers. Spring brings wildflowers to the surrounding hills.
