Plateaux

Plateaux is a region of Togo. Highland region with cooler temperatures, waterfalls, and Mount Agou, Togo's highest peak.

December–March for dry weather; April–November for the rainy season.

Taxis-brousse (shared minivans) connect all main towns. Motorcycle taxis serve shorter routes. Roads are paved on main corridors.

The highlands produce coffee, cocoa, and vegetables. Kpalimé is known for chocolate and coffee. Local dishes include fufu with groundnut soup and grilled river fish.

Home to the Ewe people with rich music and dance traditions. Notse's fortress is the ancient Ewe capital. The Akwasse festival celebrates harvest and heritage.
