Phanom Thuan

Kanchanaburi, Thailand

About Phanom Thuan

Phanom Thuan is a district town in eastern Kanchanaburi Province, positioned in a fertile plain about 30 km east of Kanchanaburi city. The district is predominantly agricultural, with vast sugar cane fields, rice paddies, and vegetable farms defining the landscape. The town itself is a quiet local service centre with a market, a few shops, and a relaxed pace of life characteristic of rural Central Thailand.

The climate follows the familiar Thai seasonal pattern: hot (February–April), rainy (May–October), and cool (November–January). The cool season is the most comfortable time for visiting. Phanom Thuan is compact and easy to navigate, with most facilities along the main road.
