About Mikumi

Mikumi town is the main gateway to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania's most accessible wildlife parks. Located on the A-7 highway between Morogoro and Iringa, the town has basic services, fuel stations, and a market. The park entrance is 2 km south of the town centre.

How to reach

Mikumi is 120 km west of Morogoro (1.5 hours by bus) on the main Dar es Salaam–Iringa highway. Regular buses from Morogoro, Dar es Salaam, and Iringa.

The town is walkable. For the park, you need a safari vehicle (can be arranged at the lodges).
