Why visit Wujie?
Wujie (五結) is a coastal township in eastern Yilan County, Taiwan, located between Luodong and the Pacific coast. It is best known for the National Center for Traditional Arts (國立傳統藝術中心), a living museum of Taiwanese folk culture with traditional crafts, performances, and historic buildings. The area also has scenic rice fields and coastal wetlands.
The climate is humid subtropical. September to November are the best months. The township is flat and agricultural, with the traditional arts centre as its main attraction.

By Plane
Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) is about 60 km southwest. A taxi takes about 1 hour 15 minutes and costs around NT$1,800–2,200.
By Train
Wujie does not have a TRA station. The nearest station is Luodong Station, about 5 km west. From Luodong, take a taxi or bus to Wujie (10 minutes, taxi NT$200–250).
By Car / Road
Wujie is accessible via Provincial Highway 2 and County Road 196. From Yilan City, drive southeast for about 20 minutes.
Cycling is ideal for exploring the flat farmland. Taxis are available for the traditional arts centre.
