Hingurakgoda is a town in the Polonnaruwa District of North Central Province, located about 10 km south of Polonnaruwa, within Sri Lanka's ancient irrigation zone. It is a local commercial centre surrounded by paddy fields, reservoirs, and dry-zone forest, strategically placed between Polonnaruwa, Minneriya, and Kaudulla.

Hingurakgoda is close to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and the wildlife parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla. Climate is hot and dry, best visited December–April.

Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB IATA) is 220 km west.

By Train

Hingurakgoda Railway Station is on the eastern line. Trains from Colombo take 5–6 hours.

By Car / Road

Hingurakgoda is 10 km south of Polonnaruwa. Buses from Polonnaruwa take 15 minutes.
