Akkaraipattu (Tamil: அக்கரைப்பற்று) is a coastal town in the Ampara District of Eastern Province, located about 20 km south of Kalmunai. It is a predominantly Muslim town with a busy market and agricultural economy based on paddy, coconut, and fishing.

The town sits along the A4 highway and is a local commercial centre. Akkaraipattu was severely affected by the 2004 tsunami. The area is known for its Muslim cultural heritage. Climate is hot and dry, best visited December–April.
