About Plettenberg Bay
Plettenberg Bay — commonly called "Plett" — is a coastal town on the Garden Route, about 600 km east of Cape Town. It is set around a beautiful crescent-shaped bay framed by the Robberg Peninsula to the south and the Keurbooms River lagoon to the north. Plett has long been a high-end holiday destination, known for its Blue Flag beaches, forested hillsides, and the Robberg Nature Reserve which protects the peninsula. The town attracts a fashionable summer crowd and has a vibrant restaurant and wine-bar scene.
Plett enjoys a mild maritime climate with warm summers (November–March) and cool, wet winters (June–August). Peak season is December and January when the town's population swells.
