Why visit Quljeed?
Quljeed is a village in the western Awdal region of Somaliland, about 30 km northwest of Borama. It is the birthplace of Dahir Riyale Kahin, Somaliland's third president, and is inhabited by the Reer Dudub branch of the Jibriil Yoonis, a subclan of the Gadabuursi Dir. The area sits at elevation, giving it cooler temperatures than the lowlands.
