Santa Ana Island (also known as Owaraha) is a small raised coral island off the eastern coast of Makira Island in Makira-Ulawa Province, Solomon Islands. The island is roughly 5 km long and 2 km wide, rising to a plateau with a large central lagoon. Santa Ana is surrounded by white sand beaches and fringing coral reefs. The islanders speak the Owaraha language and maintain strong traditional customs including shell-money production. The island is known for its exceptional natural beauty and pristine marine environment. The climate is tropical with year-round warmth and a wet season from November to March.

By Plane

The nearest airport is Kirakira Airport (IATA: IRA) on Makira Island. From Kirakira, Santa Ana is reached by local boat in about 1–2 hours.

By Car / Road

not relevant — road access ends at Kirakira on Makira. Santa Ana is only accessible by boat.

Santa Ana is easily walkable — the entire island can be circled on foot in a few hours. Canoes are used for lagoon trips.
