Stupava

Stupava is a town at the foot of the Little Carpathians, about 18 km north of Bratislava. With a population of approximately 12,000, it is known for its large Renaissance manor house complex (kaštieľ) surrounded by a beautiful English-style park. The town's history dates back to the 13th century, and its strategic location at the edge of the Záhorie region has made it an important local centre.

Stupava is a starting point for hikes into the Bratislava Forest Park and the Little Carpathians. Its manor house park is one of the largest and most attractive in western Slovakia.

Stupava has a railway station on the line from Bratislava to Devínska Nová Ves, with commuter trains from Bratislava taking about 30 minutes.

By Car / Road

The D2 motorway passes near Stupava, connecting it to Bratislava (20 minutes) and Brno (1 hour).
