Grand Anse is a village and beach on the west coast of Praslin island, Seychelles. The beach is long and exposed to the trade winds, producing rolling surf that is spectacular to watch but dangerous for swimming during the south-east monsoon. The village has a relaxed, low-key atmosphere with a handful of restaurants and guesthouses.

How to reach

By Plane

Praslin Island Airport (PR1) is 6 km north-east, about a 10-minute drive. Taxis cost around SCR 250.

By Train

By Car / Road

Grand Anse lies on Praslin's west-coast road, 10 km south-west of Baie Sainte Anne. Buses run every 30-60 minutes.

The village and beach are walkable. Bicycles are available for rent. A car is useful for exploring the rest of Praslin.
