Anse Volbert

Anse Volbert is a village on the north-east coast of Praslin island, Seychelles. It is centred on a long, wide curve of white sand — one of Praslin's best swimming beaches — and is lined with hotels, restaurants, and watersports operators. The village is part of the Baie Sainte Anne district and sits close to the Vallee de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Praslin Island Airport (PR1) is 8 km south-west, about a 15-minute drive. Taxis cost around SCR 300.

From the Baie Sainte Anne ferry terminal, drive north along the coastal road for 4 km. Buses and taxis are available at the harbour.

Anse Volbert is easily walkable along the beachfront. Bicycles and electric buggies can be rented. Taxis are available.

• Vallee de Mai — A 10-minute drive inland; the UNESCO-listed palm forest with coco de mer palms.

The hotel bars along Anse Volbert serve cocktails and cold Seybrew lager. Fresh coconut water from beachfront stalls.

• Upscale: Paradise Sun Hotel — boutique beach hotel; SCR 6,000-9,000 per night.

Small boutiques and hotel gift shops sell beachwear, souvenirs, and local crafts. A grocery store near the main road stocks basics.
