Falciano

Falciano is a flat rural and residential hamlet (curazia) located in the northern part of the municipality of Serravalle. Situated in the fertile plains of the Ausa river basin, Falciano is notable for containing the lowest point in San Marino, at just 55 meters (180 feet) above sea level. This flat geography distinguishes it from the steep limestone cliffs of Monte Titano.

The hamlet is primarily residential and agricultural, with modern housing developments alongside farmland. It is also the home of Folgore/Falciano, one of the country's local sports clubs.

The nearest major airport is Federico Fellini International Airport (RMI) in Rimini, Italy, about 20 km away. Bologna Airport (BLQ) is about 125 km away.

By Train

There are no trains in San Marino. The nearest railway station is Rimini Railway Station in Italy, linked by the international bus service.

By Car / Road

Falciano is located just off the main SS72 highway. The drive from Serravalle center takes about 4 minutes (approx. 2 km). The drive from Dogana takes about 4 minutes.

Due to the flat terrain, Falciano is very easy to explore on foot or by bicycle. A private car is recommended for travel to other parts of the country.

Falciano has no retail stores. For shopping, groceries, and souvenirs, visitors should travel to the nearby commercial centers of Dogana.
