By Plane

The nearest major international gateway is Federico Fellini International Airport (IATA: RMI) in Rimini, Italy, situated about 23 kilometers (14.3 miles) northeast of Piandivello. A taxi from the airport costs around €40–€55. For a larger hub, Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (IATA: BLQ) is located 126 km (78.3 miles) away, with bus and rail connections via Rimini.

By Train

There are no train networks in San Marino. The closest train station is the Rimini Train Station (Stazione di Rimini) in Italy. From Rimini, the cross-border Bonelli Bus (Line 72) connects to the City of San Marino. From the capital, visitors can take the local AASS bus network to reach Domagnano and Piandivello.

By Car / Road

Piandivello is easiest to reach by private car. From Rimini, take the SS72 Superstrada into San Marino, continue past Serravalle and Domagnano center, and turn off onto local roads for Piandivello. The drive takes about 25 minutes. Local AASS bus lines provide regular daily service between the City of San Marino and Domagnano, stopping near the hamlet.

Piandivello is a small residential hamlet and is best explored on foot. There are no local public transit lines operating within the hamlet itself. To travel between different parts of Domagnano or to other municipalities in San Marino, a private car or scooter is highly recommended. The nearest AASS bus stops are located along the main road. Taxis must be pre-booked from Borgo Maggiore or the City of San Marino.
