About Salimu

Salimu is a village on the northeast coast of Upolu island in Samoa's Va'a-o-Fonoti district. It lies along the coastal road east of Apia, part of the traditional Va'a-o-Fonoti district.

Samoa has a warm tropical climate. The dry season (May to October) is the most pleasant time to visit.

How to reach

By Plane

Faleolo International Airport (APW) is about 52 km west — a 55-minute drive. Taxis cost around 80–100 WST.

By Train

By Car / Road

Salimu is about 27 km east of Apia on the coastal road — a 30-minute drive. Buses from Apia serve the route but are infrequent.

The village is walkable. A rental car is recommended for exploring.
