About Yanaul
Yanaul is a small city in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, with a population of approximately 27,000. Located in the northern part of the republic about 300 km from Ufa, it was founded in the 17th century as a Bashkir settlement. The city has a mixed Bashkir-Tatar population and is known for its peaceful, traditional character.
The landscape is flat to gently rolling forest-steppe terrain with a continental climate. Yanaul sits near several rivers and lakes, providing scenic views and recreational opportunities.
