Otopeni

Otopeni is a town in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, neighbouring the north of Bucharest along the DN1 road to Ploiești. It has 21,750 inhabitants and is best known as the location of Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania's busiest airport. TAROM and Țiriac Air have their headquarters here.

Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) is located within Otopeni itself. The airport serves domestic and international flights and has direct public transport connections to central Bucharest.

By Train

The nearby "Aeroport Henri Coandă" train station connects the airport to Bucharest North station via the CFR Line 700. Trains run regularly throughout the day.

Otopeni lies along the DN1 road (Bucharest–Ploiești) and is directly connected to the A3 motorway. It is about 10 km north of central Bucharest.
