Limpio is a city in Central department, located on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River north of Asunción. It is an industrial and residential suburb with a significant manufacturing base. The name means "clean" in Spanish. The city has grown rapidly in recent decades as Asunción's urban sprawl has expanded northward. The climate is subtropical; the best visiting period is May–September.
