About Lambare

Lambaré is a city in Central department, lying on the eastern bank of the Paraguay River opposite Asunción. It is a mainly residential suburb with a significant industrial zone along the river. The city is named after the Lambaré, one of the indigenous Guaraní subgroups that inhabited the area. It has a modest city centre and a riverfront area popular for recreation. The climate is subtropical; May–September offers the most comfortable conditions.

By Plane

Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU) in Luque is about 10 km northeast.

By Train

No passenger rail.

By Car / Road

Lambaré is connected to Asunción via the Puente de la Amistad bridge. It is about 8 km from central Asunción (15–20 min by car). Buses from Asunción run every 10 min (GS.3,000).
