Kabwum

Morobe, Papua New Guinea

Why visit Kabwum?

Kabwum is a remote station in the highlands of Morobe Province, located in the steep, forested country north of the Markham Valley. It is the administrative centre for the Kabwum District and serves the local Papuan-language communities of the Saruwaged Range. The station is one of the most isolated in Morobe, accessed only by light aircraft.

Kabwum has a small airstrip, health centre, and basic government services. It sees no tourism.
