Ulimang

Ngaraard, Palau

Why visit Ulimang?

Ulimang is the administrative capital of Ngaraard State, located on the eastern coast of northern Babeldaob. The village is the largest settlement in the state and serves as the seat of the Ngaraard State government, with a state office, school, and community centre. Ulimang's coastline is characterised by mangrove-lined inlets and sandy pockets, while the interior rises into forested hills that are part of Babeldaob's central watershed.

The village has a small, close-knit community that relies on a mix of state government employment, fishing, and subsistence agriculture. Ulimang is quiet and untouristed, offering a genuine look at life in Palau's northern states.
