Dapchi

Dapchi is a town in Bursari LGA in northern Yobe State, about 75 km south of the border with Niger, and serves as the LGA's headquarters. It became internationally known after 19 February 2018, when 110 girls were abducted from the Government Science and Technical College in Dapchi by Boko Haram; 101 were returned about a month later, though one, Leah Sharibu, was held back and not released.
