Sagamu is a historic city in Ogun State, a major industrial and commercial centre on the Lagos–Ibadan expressway. It is a centre for the Remo Yoruba people and hosts the annual Remo Cultural Festival. Sagamu's economy is driven by cement manufacturing (plants like Dangote and Lafarge), brewing, and agriculture. The city is also known for the Sagamu limestone caves and the historic Sagamu Hotel. It is the birthplace of several Nigerian nationalist figures.

How do you get there?

By Plane

The nearest major airport is Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos, about 60 km south-west.

By Car / Road

Sagamu is at the junction of the Lagos–Ibadan and Lagos–Benin expressways, about 1 hour north-east of Lagos. Buses from all directions pass through.
