Kagoro

Kagoro is a highland settlement in southern Kaduna State, perched on the Kagoro Hills with panoramic views of the surrounding plains. It is the traditional home of the Atyap people and a centre of the Nok culture region. Kagoro is famous for the Asholio (Dorowa) festival, a colourful annual ceremony featuring hunting displays, traditional dances, and horseback riding. The Kagoro Hills offer hiking trails through rocky terrain and gallery forests.

Kaduna International Airport (KAD) is about 130 km north.

By Train

The nearest railway station is in Kafanchan (15 km west).

By Car / Road

Kagoro is east of Kafanchan on the Kafanchan–Jos road, about 15 minutes from Kafanchan. Shared taxis run from Kafanchan.
