Kajuru

Kajuru is a town and local government headquarters in southern Kaduna State, set in a scenic area of rocky hills and inselbergs that have become a draw for adventure tourism. The Kajuru Castle, a quirky medieval-style fortress resort built by a German expatriate, is a unique accommodation and wedding venue on a hilltop. The surrounding area is also known for the Kajuru Natural Park and its traditional Gbagyi communities. Hiking and birdwatching are popular activities.

Kajuru is about 1 hour south-east of Kaduna via a paved road that becomes unpaved near the castle. A 4×4 is recommended in the rainy season.
