Ringim is a town in Jigawa State and the headquarters of Ringim Local Government Area. It is also the seat of Ringim Emirate, which was created in November 1991 alongside Jigawa State itself and today comprises the Ringim, Taura, Garki, and Babura local government areas. The surrounding land supports both wet- and dry-season farming, with fruit trees lining the banks of the local river, and the town is known regionally for traditional crafts and textiles.
