Darazo is a town in north-eastern Bauchi State, the headquarters of Darazo LGA. It is an agricultural market centre situated in the north-eastern part of the state, serving the surrounding farming communities. The population is predominantly Fulani and Hausa.

The climate is tropical and semi-arid, with a short rainy season from June to September.
