About Dordrecht

Dordrecht (Dordt) is the oldest city in the Holland region (city rights from 1220). It sits on an island in the delta where the rivers Merwede, Meuse and Rhine converge. The old centre is a beautifully preserved medieval harbour town, with the Grote Kerk (a massive Gothic basilica) dominating the skyline.
