About Tsumeb

Tsumeb is a historic mining town in the Oshikoto Region, famous for the Tsumeb Mine, one of the world's richest mineral deposits with over 200 mineral species discovered. The Tsumeb Museum houses an outstanding mineral collection. The town has a strong German colonial character and is a major stop on the way to Etosha National Park.

Nearest major airport is Ondangwa or Windhoek. Tsumeb has a small airport for charters.

By Train

By Car / Road

Tsumeb is on the B1 highway, 100 km south of Ondangwa and 120 km north of Otavi.

The town is walkable. Taxis are available.
