Kyauktaw is a town in northern Rakhine State, located on the Kaladan River. It is a centre for Rakhine and Chin communities and is connected to Mrauk U and Sittwe by the Kaladan River. The town has a relaxed riverine character.

Kyauktaw is 60 km north of Mrauk U (2 hr by road) and 120 km north of Sittwe (3–4 hr by boat or road).
