About Thantlang

Thantlang is a town in the Chin Hills of Chin State, located approximately 30 km south of Hakha. It is a small mountain town with traditional Chin communities and a cool climate. The area is very remote and receives few visitors.

The best time to visit is November to February. Permits are required.

How to reach

Thantlang is 30 km south of Hakha (1 hr by road). Access is from Hakha, which is reached from Kale (Kalay).
